I met Melissa right after moving to Austin. She worked at the Credit Union Service Center in Austin and that’s where I happened to land a job. We hit it off from the start. We went out a few times and come to find out her husband is a super nerd too! (More on him in the guys section) We have since been glued to the hip. She and I talk about everything. And when I need to be convinced to spend some time and money on me, she’s who I call. She always reminds me of the good things and helps smooth over the bad. I am very excited that Melissa will be standing in our wedding as a bridesmaid.
Melissa grew up in Bastrop, Texas, not too far from Austin. She graduated from Texas State University (Go!Bobcats) in May 2006 with her Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies (Education). She proceeded to quickly find a job in Manor, Texas, teaching third grade. Over this first year of teaching she has come home with many a story about the crazy things kids do.This summer her and her husband, James, will be celebrating four years of marriage. They are also currently in the process of purchasing their first home.
