I like this post! :) I have technically been a stay-at-home wife since leaving The Center shortly before moving here. Sure, I've gotten paid for the odd gig once in a while, but for the most part I am a full-time spouse and homemaker. And it's something I've struggled with, too, for a lot of the very same reasons. It's all about society - I still feel weird meeting new people and answering truthfully when they ask what I do. When I do answer truthfully, though, most of them are envious, so I really need to get over myself and enjoy what we have. :)

Hey Melissa - it's Melissa G (formerly of The Center office - I just don't like posting last names online) here. Catching up on your blog for the first time in weeks, and I have recipes to share with you! My mom was diagnosed with celiac disease several years ago so we've all gotten adept at hunting for good GF recipes. I have a really great one for peanut butter chocolate chip cookies I can send you, and Betty Crocker has recently come out with some really good GF mixes for cookies, brownies and cakes. My sister has even used the Betty Crocker GF yellow cake mix to make a Gooey Butter Cake! (My parents are both St Louis natives and we were raised on the stuff!) I can send you that recipe as well. Send me an email so I have your address. I love sharing recipes! :)

Let's celebrate! I'll bring the champagne to your door no later than next year. Melissa's arm should be good by then.
