Mothers and Daughters
It seems the trend started a few years ago of all our friends slowly increasing the number in each of their families has not slowed down. We’ve recently visited friends who just welcomed their first, Alice Jane, into the world.

Look at those cheeks! And that head of hair! We reassured Justin and Nichole that we feel they make some pretty cute babies and can proceed in making more!
We enjoyed seeing them both as it has been quite a while. They only live an hour south of us and yet it has been almost a year since we had all four been together. Crazy how time flies and that saying of “out of sight, out of mind” can apply. We hope the next time we see them it won’t have been so long.
We also found out recently that some friends of ours are expecting their first little girl in June. We’ve only known Lisa and David for a year but we are very excited for them both! I think it may be a little extra exciting since they live so close by. Sean is already gearing up to babysit! He asked mom and dad for permission to be dubbed “Unkie Sean” in their household too. It has also been nice to have little babies to make things for. I’ll have to put my thinking cap back on and see what goodies I can come up with for the cuties!
Speaking of mothers and Daughters. This weekend my sister, Allie, was in Texas visiting my parents and drive up to Austin with mom. They got here Friday afternoon and the weekend was filled with catching up, mom’s good food, and visiting local places. Unfortunately the weather didn’t permit some of our favorite touristic outings, but we did make it to a few. We also took them to my favorite gardening store ‘The Natural Gardener’ and out for lunch at ‘Huts.’ All in all it was a pretty nice weekend. They headed back to south Houston this morning. I hope to see my big sister again soon!
