We are so ready for this vacation! We’ve been so busy and wrapped up in house buying and other things that it will truly be nice to get away for a while. We’ve equipped ourselves with winter jackets, sweaters, and warm under garments.
Bring on the snow, Canadian food and family! We will do our best to take photos of this vacation, but we make no promises as we intend on being as lazy as we possibly can.
As for current news, my cousin Ryan and his fiancĂ©e Stephanie brought their son into the world over the weekend. I think Stephanie had a bit more involvement in this process, but I’m sure Ryan did all he could to help. He arrived Sunday early morning, weighing 7lbs 11 oz, measuring 19 inches, and was named Roman John-Patrick. He sure is cute!

I think he looks a lot like Ryan, but I’ll let you know my opinion for sure after I get to meet him (and hopefully the rest of Ryan’s new family) this weekend. Sean and I were bummed to realize we wouldn’t be able to make it to their wedding in January, but I think getting to meet the whole family this weekend feels really good. I made little Roman a gift, which I can’t show you or talk about or it will ruin the surprise. I will post photos after our trip of that. I hope he likes it… I figure any kind of drooling or smiling will mean yes. Right?
As for the house hunt, well we think we’ve got a winner. Bid number four seems to be working out. I’m not going to say its a done deal, as we still need to lock in an interest rate and do a ton of paperwork, however each day the situation looks better and better. If all goes well we could be closing on this home by November 24th. I’ll post photos when we know for sure. I’m still kind of holding my breath.
Well I’ve got to finish packing and do some more errands. Today I am thankful for my husband finding my passport, my girlfriends listening to my long-winded stories, and that I have the ability to learn anything I want.
