So that’s my clever way of letting you all know we are trying to buy a home. I’m pretty sure the bank will only lend us money for a home made of wood, brick, stone, or a combination thereof, so count the straw out. As for when, where and what… stay tuned. It has been a bit crazy here, but our plan is to have found our new home and be out of our current apartment by November 12th.

The things I do know are that we will be staying in south Austin, we are hoping to find a one story (Sean feels buying a two story home may be detrimental to my health), and we don’t have tons of time left. We’ve been looking for about two weeks now. We put a couple of bids in and things didn’t pan out the way we planned. We’ve regrouped, taken some advice from family and friends and are hoping to start a new search this coming weekend. I’ll do my best to keep things updated, but if the last two weeks are an example of how it will go… well lets just say we might be MIA for a while.

In the meantime know we appreciate all the help, warm thoughts and good advice we have been receiving. Here’s hoping we have a new place to call home soon!
