March!
It’s almost spring people! I can’t believe how time flies.
Well we’ve been keeping busy lately, over Valentines Day weekend we went to Granbury, TX to visit my friend Allison and her new beau Varoujan. We had a great time and just wished we had more to spend there with them. Here’s a photo of the four of us:
Then there was Hazel’s birthday! She’s 3 people… 3! Crazy huh! I got so carried away I didn’t mail her gift until her actual birthday. I did however get to chat with her about her birthday party. She’s getting to be such a big kid now. You can see some photos on Beth’s dropshots page.
We also had a get together at our place with the people in our Austin Couples Meetup Group a few weekends back. We played Times Up! and I think everyone had a good time. I’ll have to start taking photos at those events. For those that have never used meetup.com it’s a great way to find other people interested in the same things you are. I highly recommend checking it out!
Our friends Becky and Tammy both had birthdays last month as well. Happy Birthday!!!! We didn’t get to celebrate with either of them but we here that rang in another year in style.
And this last Saturday I went with our friend Lori to the 5th Annual ‘That takes the Cake‘ competition. The cakes were amazing. Lori took some awesome photos and was nice enough to share. We were a little bummed at the lack of demonstrations that were supposed to be happening, it didn’t seem like there were any. We did get some free cake though, mmmm free cake tastes sooooo good.
After getting a sugar high we decided to check out this place I hadn’t been to in quite a while. They’re now in the Triangle plaza here in Austin, TX and they are not only a market but a restaurant as well. It’s called Mandola’s Italian Market. We split a sandwich and proceeded to buy some goodies from the bakery. I love baked goodies. I’ve decided my retirement job will be to own a bakery that makes amazing cookies and pastries and sells them for silly prices, meaning cheap. I love amazingly good pastries even more when they’re cheap!
All in all we’ve just been keeping busy. I’m coming up with some ways to make some money outside of having a real job (not by choice, by the fact that no one is hiring me), I’ll tell you more about them if I make any money.
Sean and I have also decided it’s best for me to postpone graduate school for now. I’m still going to take classes, I’ll just be taking them at ACC instead. I really want a MLS/MIS degree and think that pursuing things that will help me do well when I go back to school for that degree are the better option for now. There are many other reasons but we’d have to chat on the phone, as I’d bore you with it here.
Sean’s keeping busy too. He’s got a lot of things going on at work, and as usual I can’t begin to explain what it all is. I really wish someone would develop a geek/nerd dictionary. I’ll hold him down to this chair one day soon and make him spill his guts. For now I can tell you that I know he’s working hard and trying to help keep Luminary going. He really does love his job and I think I’m a little jealous of it sometimes.
But I’m also very happy for him and very proud as well.
Well I’ve got to get my workout on or I won’t do it today! Hope you’re all well!
