Happy Christmakwanzakkah

I mean happy holidays. Well, that time of year is almost upon us. Time for hoping for snow, bearing the crowds at the shopping malls, and putting out the decorations. It seems like it was only last week that we were making pecan pies for Thanksgiving. Wait… it was only a week ago.

The weekend before Thanksgiving Melissa was able to visit some friends in Dallas. Beth and Hazel flew into town to accompany Melissa on the trip. She had a good time and got to have a lot of time with her favorite two year old. To see pictures from the weekend, click here. Some of the cutest pictures are from a little craft session in which Beth and Melissa made ornaments for Hazel to paint. To see the artist in action, go here.

Melissa, Julie and I packed into the car for a little road trip down to the Texas coast to be with our families. We enjoyed two Thanksgiving dinners and seventeen pies. Just kidding, but Melissa did make some pretty awesome pecan pie and one pretty awful Pumpkin Jello Cake. You can see the photos from our holiday here.

Now, I know that many of our family members have been asking what you should get us for Christmas. Although our greatest joy is getting to spend time with friends and family during this time of year, we decided to make a wish list of some things we’ve been wanting to get. You can find this list on a separate page here.

We hope see many of our readers in the coming weeks. We may not get another chance to post until the new year, so until then, we both want to wish everyone the best. Just remember to be safe, have fun, and don’t drink too much Nog.

Happy Holidays

Sean and Melissa
