And time just keeps flyin’…

I woke up yesterday and realized that there are only 3 weeks left before school lets out. And then I only have a week for exams. I just can’t believe it. I don’t even know where to start….

Let’s see… well we went to a baby shower a few weeks back for Jason and Ying. It was thrown by Sean’s old boss Mark. Mark and his wife did a nice job putting it together and it looks as though Jason and Ying got a lot of good stuff. To see photos go here. Of course those photos are a little bit out of date seeing as Ying had little Aiden on October 23 at 5am! He was 8 lbs 6 oz. From what we hear the labor was quick and safe. Unfortunately, Aiden has had a bad case of jaundice and we haven’t been able to meet him in person yet. Jason did send us some photos of the little man and we posted them on our website so y’all could see their bundle of joy. Go here for those photos. We are keeping Jason, Ying, and little Aiden in our thoughts during this time. We hope you get well soon little guy.

Speaking of little guys, our friends Lance and Kristin welcomed Benjamin into the world that same week on Friday October 26th around 5:30pm. Here’s a link to their website so y’all can check out some photos of their new arrival. He’s a pretty cute baby if I do say so myself. We’re happy for the proud parents and look forward to meeting him soon too.

Of course then there was the first weekend in November where I helped to host a huge shower for our friends James and Melissa. Why, you might be asking. Well on October 19th they welcomed home their bundles of joy. Yes I said bundles. They have happily adopted twin baby girls. And in the same seven day period that our other friends’ babies arrived. Yep that’s three couples, one week and four babies! Sean and I are pretty sure they’ve been adding something to the drinking water here in Austin, so we’ve been refusing to drink it. It’s bottled water for us. :) All jokes aside, we were very happy to have been able to help throw James and Melissa a baby shower to help celebrate Abigail and Olivia’s arrival. It looks like they got a lot of great stuff. To see the photos from the shower go here.

Because of their double arrival Sean and I have been trying to help out. I went over a few days before they brought the girls home and helped to decorate Abigail and Olivia’s new room. Melissa, Linda and I had a good time making it all girly. Go here for some photos of their very adorable new room. There are also some photos from the first time we, and many others, got to meet them here.

All we can say is that we’ve been blessed many times over by the stork. :) We look forward to watching them, and their parents, grow.

Other than babies, I’ve been trying to wrap up my next to last semester of school. That’s right baby! Only one more to go. Whoa!! I’m getting a bit of senioritis and Sean is having to keep me on the straight and narrow. He’s doing a good job, I think they’ll let me graduate in the end. :)

As for Sean, he’s been settling in at his new job. He is really enjoying the work and all the new people. He’s been talking about doing his master’s degree as well. I’m sure he’ll let y’all know when he makes a decision. Until then, I’m just really glad he’s enjoying his work. It always makes life more enjoyable when you enjoy what you do for a living.

Well I guess that’s about if for now. Oh wait! You should go to Beth’s dropshots page and check out the photos of Hazel from Halloween. Super cute! She was Hazilla and Beth was the building she climbs up! How awesome is that!?! Beth has also just gotten a new hair cut which I think is super cute. You can see her new do on the link above as well. Beth was supposed to visit us in Austin a few weeks back but little Hazel got sick. So we’re going to try again this next weekend. I’m really looking forward to spending time with them. Beth, Hazel and I are going to head to the Dallas area to visit our friend Renee. It should make for a fun weekend.

I should say that this past weekend was pretty good as well. Evan was in town for the Tech vs. UT game. Hook’em… I mean Guns up…? Well it was good to see him no matter who won the game. We’re looking forward to Thanksgiving as well, hopefully we’ll get to see some more family and friends.

Hope you’re all well. Until the next post.
