Hey Y’all!

Well I’m very sorry that it has taken me a whole month to write a new post on our website. Sean and I have been extremely busy. I just finished all of my final exams last week and Sean will take his final exam this Thursday. We’ve also been in the midst of getting our wedding invitations out. We chained Sean’s sister, Julie, to a chair and made her address them all. We felt she had nicer handwriting then either of us. In all honestly we appreciated the help and were glad to have her there. Hopefully you have all received your invitations. I believe I’ve got about ten more to mail out. We were missing a few addresses. So if you haven’t gotten it, you will soon. Here are some photos of all the invitations before we sent them. One is of me waxing the inside… No those weren’t stickers. I hand waxed all of your invitations.

There was a total of 117 invitations sent all over the world… Ok that was dramatic. There were sent in the U.S, Canada, Cayman Islands, and Europe. We tried to make sure everyone had a stamp for the return envelope. Though anyone outside the U.S. and Canada we were unable to get the correct postage. I do hope you have received them. We know of one that apparently has gone missing. Our friends Jen and Mike didn’t even get their save the date card. I think their postman has it in for us. I may just have to hand deliver that one. Speaking of Jen and Mike. I promised photos of the newly arrived Lillian when we got to see her. Well this past weekend we went to Mike and Jen’s for dinner and got to meet Lilly for the first time. Click the picture below and it will take you to more photos of our first evening with Lilly.

The Family: Mike, Jen and Lilly

She’s a cutie. We had a nice time and it was good to see Mike and Jen again. Hopefully, we will all get to hang out together again real soon. We have also found out that two other couples that we are friends with are due around the same time this year. I’ll give you more information as we find out things. I’ll also post photos as I get them too.

On a non-baby note our good friends James and Melissa will be moving into their first home this next month. I believe they close on the house May 23rd. We’re very excited for them, but aren’t quite sure what they plan to do with all that extra space. :) I’m sure they’ll find good use for it all. We will post pictures at the end of this month for you to all see their new pad. Sean and I are hoping they love us enough to use their new big back patio to care for our plants while were on vacation this summer. I think we can win them over.

Well in other news… Hazel can talk! Though I’m not sure Mommy and Daddy are teaching her appropriate words. ;) Go here to see what I mean. Though I will admit it is quite entertaining. She can also say baby, Bye-Bye, Mommy and Peppy (that’s their dog’s name). She’ll be talking up a storm by time she gets here this summer. Beth and Hazel will be in Texas the last week of May all the way through to the wedding. Very cool! I’m also forcing them to come to Austin and help with decorations( and my sanity). :) What good friends!

I should also mention that Sean’s family will be in Austin around May 24th for an award ceremony. Sean’s dad, Dickson, will be receiving the Governor’s Criminal Justice Volunteer Service Award for all of the work he has done developing a Rebound program at the Clemens Unit in Brazoria. We’re very proud of him and are looking forward to seeing him receive his award later this month. I’ll defiantly have photos from that.

And in family news, soon after the award ceremony it seems that most of Sean’s family will join the ranks as American citizens. I’m looking forward to debating with them more now. Seeing as they will all be able to vote I have a feeling they’ll become even more political. :) Sean is debating taking the plunge after we get back from our honeymoon. We’ll let you know how that goes.

In other news I should let you all know that my mom has found a job. Yea! I’m very happy for her. I know it was hard to go back to the ball ‘n chain after having such a long break but she seems to be doing well. We’re looking forward to seeing both her and Sally this weekend for Mother’s Day. I should say Happy Mother’s day to Beth and Jen as well! I don’t think I’ll be joining the ranks of motherdom anytime soon but I’m very happy for the rest of you. :)

Well I could go on for days, but I need to go run some errands. I’ll try to post again this week and I’ll take some photos while we’re at home this weekend. Until then!
