Sorry that it’s been over a week since Sean or I posted. We have tried to update some things on the wedding page. Please try and be patient with us as we’re both in school, Sean works full time, I’ve been nannying and we’re trying to plan a great wedding… It can be a bit overwhelming at times.

Well since I last wrote I got sick, really sick. I had strep, a crazy rash from the strep, and then a bad reaction to the medicine. I also had allergies to boot. Sean took good care of me though. He made me stay home from school for a day or so to recoup. I proceeded to sleep for almost two days. Which sounds good at first but last week I had five exams and a major research paper due. I really should have been reading or studying. But I still managed to get most of all of my work done and did pretty well on all of my exams. Still waiting on the research grade. I’ll let you know. I sure am glad that weeks is over though.

Unfortunately because I was sick, and the crazy amount of homework, I missed getting to see Kenny and Amanda. Sean however, went to dinner with them on Sunday February 18th at Hula Hut. (It’s a very good Polynesian-Tex-Mex restaurant here in Austin.) It sounds like they had a good time catching up. Well maybe I’ll get to see them next time. Kenny by the way is one of Sean’s groomsmen. He and Kenny have know each other for about six years now. Man time goes by quick. They met while working together at the Center for the Arts and Sciences in Lake Jackson. I’ll post more about Kenny, and Amanda too, when I put together the Wedding party page. Well here’s a photo Sean took the evening they went out. What a cute couple.

This weekend I was glad to be feeling better because we had all sorts of good stuff planed to do. First on the agenda was loafing on the couch with Sean. That’s what I did Friday after I emailed in my research paper. I love curling up with Sean and watching a good episode of Grey’s Anatomy or The Office.

Then on Saturday we went to our friend Jen’s baby shower. She’s having a girl! Lillian Elizabeth will be her name and I got straightened out as to the due date. It’s April 10th not 1st. I’m bad with dates. Anyway Melissa Minor planned a great shower at Johnny Carino’s. We had some good food, good conversation and good laughs. It looked as thought Jen and Mike got a great start on baby gear. Here’s a photo of the almost eight month pregnant Jen. She makes a pretty cute Mommy to be, doesn’t she?. Then Saturday night I got to nanny a cute ten month old boy name Caden and his family dog. Drake the dog was a little more difficult then Caden. I had a nice time and made a little money to boot. Always good with a wedding coming up. I think Sean used the time to chill and catch up on some computer game playing and getting his Linux system up and running.

Then Sunday we got to go out with some old friends we haven’t seen in a while, Justin and Nichole. I’m so bummed though, I forgot to take a picture before we left. I was having such a good time catching up that I forgot all about my camera. We ended up having an almost four hour lunch. They sound like they’re doing well. Justin’s in school at University of Texas at San Antonio for engineering and Nichole’s planning on going back for her masters in social work at my current alma mater Texas State University. We were happy to find them well and hope to make it a point of hanging out with them more often. Though with their crazy schedule and ours, and then hour and a half drive to each other it’s going to be hard. But well worth if for good friends.

Well, other then that not much has happened. In the next few weeks I’ll be heading home to go to two bridal showers. I’m looking forward to both of them. I haven’t been home since mid January, so it will be nice to see everyone. Even Evan, the best man, will be home for spring break. Maybe he’ll come to the showers…. Nah I doubt it. But it sure will be good to hang out. It looks like I will get to see Allison Darby that week too. Her sister is getting married around the same time so she’ll be in town. I always enjoy her company, by the way she’s a bridesmaid too. We may even get to have lunch that week with an old friend, Grant Allen.

Well I’ll try to keep everyone posted as things happen over the next few weeks. The goal is to make a post once a week… OK maybe once every two weeks. I’ll try to get those other pages done in the next while too.
